IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center was founded in Jul. 2015, which is to provide decision-making consulting for the smooth progress of agricultural international cooperation, to provide guidance for international transformation of agricultural scientific achievements, to provide decision-making analysis and risk judgment for the going-out of agricultural enterprises and demonstration districts.
　　　For IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center, it has three key work. First, carry out a survey on the agricultural economy in the countries along “One Belt One Road”. That is it is necessary to have a survey on the countries along “One Belt One Road” in terms of their agricultural infrastructure, agricultural industrial structure, agricultural investment risk, potency of agricultural product trade and food security etc; also, it is necessary to set up a resource database for agricultural economic development strategy. Second, do a comparative study on agricultural policy, as well as study on agricultural cooperation mechanism and key cooperation work. That is IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center will have a comparative analysis on the main agricultural economic rules, agricultural investment and trade policies, land policy, regional development policy and so on, by which decision-making consulting can be provided for international agricultural cooperation. Third, carry out planning compilation, consulting services and academic exchange. IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center will compile the plannings and feasibility study report, trying to provide development plans and decision-making consulting for the going-out of agricultural enterprises and agricultural technologies. Meanwhile, IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center will implement academic exchanges, “three rural” forums and technological training etc. Additionally, IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center shall also do some researches entrusted by other departments and authorities.
　　　Since its foundation, IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center has started all its work progressively. By now, it has started several projects entrusted by Bank of Asia (Study on International Agricultural Cooperation Mechanism in Asia under “One Belt One Road” Strategy), Chinese Academy of Engineering (Study on International Agricultural Cooperation Strategy under “One Belt One Road”) and International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Agriculture etc. The foundation of IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center fills the blank that there is no research on agricultural synergetic development of the countries along “One Belt One Road”, which can also push forward the optimization and development of featured cross-subjects undergone by IEAD, strengthen the platform construction for the going-out of agricultural enterprises, agricultural technologies and agricultural industry. In the future, IEAD “One Belt One Road” Research Center, being as a “decision-making brain trust”k, will provide more supports for scientific researches.
