Innovation Team of “Technological Economy and S&T Policy” invites experts of Fulbright Program to have academic exchange
On Mar. 17, being invited by Innovation Team of “Technological Economy and S&T Policy”, Cheryl Wachenheim, expert from Fulbright Program, professor of North Dakota State University and visiting scholar of Remin University of China came to IEAD to do a report themed “Behavioral Economics: A Focus on Food and Nutrition”. The academic exchange was hosted by Zhao Zhijun, where more than 20 people (including IEAD researchers and post-graduates) joined.
Professor Cheryl Wachenheim focuses on studying behavioral economics, business administration and consumption economics, who has published more than 50 articles about economics. Based on the economics theory, the report studied the choices on food and nutrition when people are affected by different interference. Then according to the choices, the report analyzed and evaluated relevant policies, which provided important enlightenment for the study on consumption behaviors. The report made by Professor Cheryl Wachenheim was funny and humorous, which made the academic exchange quite interesting. After the report, IEAD researchers, post-graduates and Professor Cheryl Wachenheim had a deep discussion and exchange. Anyway, the report got the results as it is expected.
