From October 21 to October 25, 2013, the international symposium of “Adaptation to Agricultural Mainstream Climate Change and Mitigation Actions” sponsored by the APEC was held in the Philippines. Representatives from some countries, such as, China, New Zealand, indonesia, Chile, Mexico, Vietnam, South Korea, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, the Philippines, et al. and Waiwan, China were present at the meeting. on behalf on China, the researcher Li Ninghui and associate researcher Guo Jingli, on invitation, attended this symposium and delivered an academic report entitled Agricultural Policies and Measures of Chinese Climate Change Adaptation and Relief Action in there.

During this symposium, the delegates present carried out discussions after dividing into groups and conducted extensive academic exchanges. Besides, the general report taking shape after the symposium discussion and consultation adopted part of Chinese suggestion.

Through this international symposium, we have a more comprehensive understanding of the mainstream agricultural policy in agricultural climate adaptation and relief actions of participating countries and regions, which can provide some reference and be of some reference value to our adoption of adaptive agricultural policy in addressing climate change in the study of synchronous promotion of “Four Modernizations” in China.
