During February 2012, Dr. Jiang Heping from the Institute of Agricultural Economics and development, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, appointed by Commerce Department foreign aid division and Ministry of agriculture international cooperation division, went to Ivory Coast for his 7th 15 days agriculture foreign aid task. The core content is the analysis of “the feasibility of the construction of the Ivory Coast aid agricultural demonstration center”.

in this task, Professor Jiang Heping is mainly responsible for the research task of project construction ideas, development objectives and benefit evaluation and other aspects, and finally completed the summary writing of “Ivory Coast agricultural demonstration center feasibility study report”. As an agricultural expert with many times Africa inspect experience, Professor Jiang analysis the advantage and the problem of Ivory Coast agricultural construction comprehensively through survey and study. the advantage aspect of Ivory Coast agricultural construction are as follows: economic development and infrastructure improved substantially in recently years, rich in agricultural resources, agricultural development potential is large; Unfavorable aspects mainly includes: low agricultural resources utilization rate, low agricultural science and technology basic and applied level, low farmer quality, weak agricultural infrastructure, insufficient of deep processing of agricultural products and other problems.

Based on the analysis to the agricultural construction condition of Ivory Coast, Professor Jiang pointed out that Ivory Coast should develop the “stock breeding high-efficient production· deep processing, brand agriculture” demonstration project which take grow rice as based, corn, vegetables, as supplemented. The construction of this project predicts to take significant economic benefits, social benefits and ecological benefits.

Professor Jiang also pointed out that the establishment of agricultural demonstration centers in Ivory Coast and carrying out agricultural technology transfer is a very important and far-reaching cause. If China's advanced hybrid rice varieties and cultivation techniques are passed to the farmers, not only to make a great contribution for increasing the food supply and reducing the import dependence, but also conducive to the healthy and smooth development of China and Africa relations.
