On Aug. 23, doctor Yu Xiaohua, the professor of Gottingen University in Germany, at invitation of the researcher Li Xiande, from “foreign agricultural economy and policy” innovation team, came to our institute and made the academic report with the theme of “International Comparison for Meat Consumption”. 　　　
　　　Starting with the status of meat consumption for different countries, and by introducing the meat price, resident income, dietary habit and other influence factors, professor Yu Xiaohua analyzed the consumption quantity of the meat and its variation trend for different types of countries in the current. After the report, deputy director Wang Jimin held the seminar. The researchers and students of our institute who attended the meeting carried out a heated spot interaction and in-depth exploration with professor Yu for the variable selection, quantitative analysis and other questions in the model. In the end, deputy director Wang Jimin proposed that both parties continued to strengthen and deepen the exchange and cooperation for data analysis and research method in the agricultural economy aspects under the cooperative strategy framework agreement between Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Gottingen University in Germany.
