From January 5 to January 24, 2014, Professor Jiang Heping, as an agricultural economic expert, went along with expert groups from foreign economic cooperation center in Ministry of Agriculture to Zimbabwe and made field research on the drawing up of project planning of providing aids to Zimbabwean agriculture (2014-2020) and feasibility study on agricultural project.

the panel made a field trip on numerous farms and companies in Zimbabwe, revolving around the necessity, feasibility, construction site, content and the expected benefit of six project construction of providing aids to Zimbabwean agriculture, and had a comprehensive knowledge and collection of information, such as, the local nation, society, economy, infrastructure, agricultural production conditions, agricultural products market, production materials, building project, building materials, labor and other information. on the basis of extensive communication and exchanges with Zimbabwean personnel, the expert group had set up the construction site, the construction content and scale and the way of cooperation with Zimbabwe, made out 6 project proposals and put forward 8 small project proposals, successfully completing the survey missions of the project planning of providing assistance to Zimbabwean agriculture.

Professor Jiang proposed that, by a 3-5 year project development of providing assistance to Zimbabwean agriculture, centering on the main line of industrial development of the high grain yield, we shall focus on the development of four main industries, namely, grain, beans, livestock breeding and storage and processing of agricultural products and build up high-yield grain base, efficient soybean base, livestock breeding base and storage and processing of agricultural products base in Zimbabwe step by step. Besides, a way of agricultural development with Zimbabwean characteristics and combining high-yield, high benefit, large-scale and industrialization will be explored and the current level of food production and overall agricultural productivity of Zimbabwe improved, advancing the implementation of the planning of Zimbabwean agricultural revitalization. Moreover, we shall drive the comprehensive development of Zimbabwean agriculture and rural economy and help Zimbabwe to address the problem of food supplies shortage.

Professor Jiang believes that in carrying out the agricultural project of providing assistance to Zimbabwean agriculture, we should adopt the thought of development with the characteristics of starting with easy things first, highlighting priority, progressive development, giving priority to efficiency, Innovation model and win-win. the implementation of giving assistance to 6 Zimbabwean agricultural projects is conductive not only to the improvement of the income of Zimbabwean farmers, the promotion of performance of enterprises, the development of grain production and the expansion of agricultural products export, but more to the  considerable development of Sino-Zimbabwean friendship.
