From June 11 to June 14, the director Qin Fu, leading 6 experts in our institute, headed for South Korea to participate in the 10th Forum of Agricultural Policy Research of Northeast Asia (FANEA), with the theme of “the Creation of Agricultural Products in East Asia”. Cui Shijun, the director of South Korea Rural Economic institute, and Ji Cunxin, the director of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Institute in Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Japan attended this forum and made a speech. Revolving around the theme of this forum, research institutes and universities in China, Japan and South Korea and the relevant experts, scholars and officials in agricultural sector in South Korea had discussion and communication on the issues of “industrial Promotion of Agriculture Six Times” and “New Agricultural Format” respectively.

in the opening speech, the director Qin Fu pointed out that based on the economic development level in China, South Korea and Japan and closely related with the agricultural and rural reality and latest dynamic conditions in these three countries, the 10th Forum of Agricultural Policy Research of Northeast Asia was characterized by new perspective, high level and fruitful results of academic study, which could provide policy support and advice for all countries in the addressing of problems in agriculture and rural areas. the topics of the 10th Forum of Agricultural Policy Research of Northeast Asia was similar with the content of China agricultural industrialization research in terms of how to extend industry chain, increase added value of agriculture, link the small farmers to big market and protect the interests of farmers from being damaged. in addition, the director Qin Fu presided over the academic report and discussion with the topic of “creative agriculture”, and made review, generalizations and summary discussion on the discussion of this topic for discussion.

During the meeting, the researchers Zhao Zhijun and Liu Jing made special reports entitled New Format of Chinese Agricultural Development: Concepts, Types, Formation Mechanism and Promotion of the Policy and Six-time industrial Development and Evolution in China respectively. The associate researchers Sun Huilin and Wang Xiudong, as commenters of this report, made comments on the speeches by many experts. The experts from China, South Korea and Japan had conducted extensive exchanges on the agriculture rural development issues in these countries and laid a good foundation for a better academic cooperation and exchange in the future.

Forum of Agricultural Policy Research of Northeast Asia, founded by Agricultural Economy and Social Development Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Rural Economy Research Institute of South Korea and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Institute in Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Japan in 2003, is a cooperative research Institute of agricultural economy in China, Japan and South Korea. These three parties conduct cooperative research and academic exchanges on the issues of common concerned, namely, agricultural and rural economic development and the policies.
