November 22 to December 5, for writing “Feasibility report on assistance to Lesotho agricultural technical cooperation project (2016-2020)”, the agricultural economy professor Heping Jiang went to Lesotho together with experts group of Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of Ministry of Agriculture, to make field investigation and feasibility demonstration of agricultural aid projects.
　　　The experts group investigate the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences and a number of farms in Lesotho, comprehensive understanding and collection of local natural, social, economic and other information, meanwhile, the cooperation method was also determined that how to assist the agricultural cooperation project of Lesotho, and also write four project proposals and investigation report of Lesotho agricultural cooperation assistance project, and the visiting mission was successfully completed.
　　　Professor Jiang said like this, the assistance project of Agricultural Technology Cooperation of Lesotho, the key point is to help Lesotho solve the problem of inadequate food supply and the fragile agricultural environment. In the field of grain production, the project should focus on how to improve the production technology level of small size famers,  and takes the small famers combination as the main body to build a moderate scale of agricultural business model, and reasonable to introduce new products, new technologies from our country, so as to promote the comprehensive development of the agriculture and rural economy of Lesotho; Regarding the agricultural ecological environment of assistance project of Lesotho, not only to introduce China's high-yielding drought-resistant grain varieties and technologies to restore and protect the agriculture in mountains and serious soil erosion areas, but also need to  introduce China's advanced varieties of fruit trees and technology to increase the economic income of small farmers. At the same time, vigorously promote the construction of farmland and water conservancy infrastructure, to manage the farmland and water better, and construct terrace in serious soil erosion areas to fundamentally control soil erosion.
