The Deputy Director, Jimin Wang led a delegation to Thailand, to participate in the 21st meeting of the Joint Commission on Science and Technology Cooperation between China and Thailand

          At the invitation of Doctor Royol Chitradon, the director of Water Conservancy and Agriculture Information Institute of Thailand, the Deputy Director Jimin Wang, Director of Scientific Research Shiping Mao, Research Lizhi Zhu, Jing Liu, associate researcher Yan Wang, to participate in the 21st meeting of the Joint Commission on Science and Technology Cooperation between China and Thailand.
   The deputy director Jmin Wang, and doctor Royboon Rassameethes, whom is the deputy director of Water Conservancy and Agriculture Information Institute of Thailand, and some relevant researchers of two parties, total in fifteen people hold a meeting. The both sides confirmed the schedule for future visiting, and made a full consultation and discussion for the future working plan and key research filed cooperation, the representatives of both sides got a agreement to future strengthen the cooperation and research on community water resources management and climate changing. During the visiting time in Thailand, in the suburbs of Bangkok and Chiang Mai, the delegation investigate the specific practices and successful experiences of the Thailand government in the community's mitigation of climate anomalies such as drought and flooding. After the actual investigation, it shows that Thailand has many successful experiences, models and cases in the practice of community water resources management and crop planting structure adjustment.
   Based on visits to Thailand, we analyze and summarize the Thailand’s successful experiences of climate anomalies such as community level water management and floods mitigation, it is very useful for us to improve our research level and capacity on water resources supply and demand, water resources balance, community water management and crop planting structure adjustment, etc. and also improve our ability to summarize the successful experience and patterns of community adaptation to climate change, and it can be used for reference in the management of community water resources and adaptation to climate change in our country. From May 12, 2015 to May 15, 2015, Ms. Royboon Rassameethes, the vice director of Water Conservancy and Agriculture Information Institute of Thailand, together with other five people to visited us, and went to Hebei to investigate the practice and successful experience about floods mitigation in community.
