Since its foundation, especially after its organizational system recovered in 1979, IAED, under the background that rural economy witnesses a rapid growth, has kept widening its research fields and deepening its scientific researches, by which great achievements are made. That is IAED got great improvement in awards for its research achievements, as well as improvement in the quantity and quality of books and theses. According to incomplete statistics, from 1979 to 2006, IAED had got 41 awards for 39 scientific achievements, of which one is Second Prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and one is Third Prize; three are First Prize of Ministry Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, 10 are Second Prize and 15 are Third Prize; two are Second Prize of Provincial & Municipal Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and five are Third Prize; two are First Prize of CAAS Award for Progress in Science and Technology and two are Second Prize.
