Wang Dongyang (IAED director) leads a team to visit the agriculture growing projects undergoing in Sino-Belarus Industrial Park in the Republic of Belarus

   Sino-Belarus Industrial Park, jointly invested by China and the Republic of Belarus, is a large-sized industrial park located in Minsk (capital of Belarus), close to the international airport; Sino-Belarus Industrial Park has a planning area of 91.5km2, whose land can be used for 99 years. It is mainly used for for fine chemical engineering, electronic information, biological medicine, high-end manufacturing, logistics and warehousing. By gradually perfecting a series of functions like living function, scientific research, health care and traveling, it is targeted to build up a new international city integrated with five functions --- ecological, livable, business promotion, energetic and innovative. For Sino-Belarus Industrial Park, the investment for Chinese enterprise and Belarus enterprise is 60% and 40% respectively, where the enterprises can enjoy lots of preferential policies. On May 12, 2015, Chairman Xi, under the company of President Alexander Lukashenko, visited Sino-Belarus Industrial Park; he pointed out that the Industrial Park was a new exploration jointly done by both parties, which was a landmark project for Silk Road Economic Zone; he hoped that the docking could be well managed by both parties when the enterprises are to settle down in the Industrial Park; he also said that in order to make some competitive enterprises, Sino-Belarus Industrial Park shall have a good planning. On Jun. 24, Chairman Xi met President Alexander Lukashenko in Tashkent. He re-pointed out that depending on Sino-Belarus Industrial Park, cooperation on large scale projects should be deepened in order to drive the cooperation in transactions, investments, financing and local cooperation and to push forward the construction of “One Belt One Road”. President Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus was willing to have cooperation with China in terms of transactions, local matters and high-end technology; meanwhile, Belarus would play an active role in participating the construction of “One Belt One Road”, trying its hard to make the Industrial Park be a landmark project of “One Belt One Road”. At present, China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. (Chinese stockholder), being as the main contractor, is playing a leading role in layout and construction related to the Industrial Park. That is China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. is doing its best to push forward the admission to enterprises and the implementation of planning.
   In order to push forward the construction of Sin-Belarus Industrial Park and evaluate the feasibility of agricultural growing of “high-tech agro-industrial complex”, from Jun. 15 to 23, 2016, under the entrustment and coordination of China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd., Wang Dongyang (IAED director) and other 3 experts in food and nutrition were invited to do a survey and evaluation on the growing projects in Belarus. There, they visited Leonid Adamovich (first deputy secretary of Agricultural Food Department), Igor Makar (first lieutenant governor of Minsk), Pavel Yuhnevich (chairman of State Economic Executive Committee), chairman of General Paul Horwich District, farmer owner under the governance of General Paul Horwich District and ?Chief?Agronomist; they also visited the technical support enterprises located in the Industrial Park, Vladimir Gusakov (chairman of National Academy of Sciences) and Peter Kazakevich (vice chairman of National Academy of Sciences), as well as Research Institute of Soil and Agricultural Chemical, System Research Institute, Application Center of Crop Farming, Research Institute of Irrigation and Food Processing Institute; then they had a discussion with the leaders and experts in terms of farmland conditions, water & soil conditions, farming mode of grains and oil plants, regulations on farm production technology, input cost and income, agricultural policy support and import & export; they visited the labs and seed-breeding base, workshop and experimental farm site; they had an overall analysis and evaluation with Uritskiy Daniil (controller of National Biotechnology Group). The survey team thought that Sino-Belarus Industrial Park was a landmark project for both countries, high-tech agro-industrial complex is a key part of the Industrial Park, which has been accepted and greatly supported by both countries. Since it will have a big influence and it will largely drive other industries, it is mandatory to speed up the farming and planting project. During the visit, MOMs were signed by IAED, Belarus National Academy of Sciences and China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd.. It was agreed that the three parties would continue with the cooperation and exchange.
