Total six people form Water Resources and Agricultural Information institute of Thailand come to visit us

            May 4 to May 8, Doctor Royboon Rassameethes, the deputy director of Water Conservancy and Agriculture Information Institute of Thailand, and other people were invited by Resources and Environmental Economics Laboratory, to participate in the 21st meeting of the Joint Commission on Science and Technology Cooperation between China and Thailand, visit and carry out academic exchanges with us.
   On May 4, the deputy director Jimin Wang, Doctor Royboon Rassameethes, the deputy director of Water Conservancy and Agriculture Information Institute of Thailand, and other researchers of China and Thailand hold a meeting together, and they deeply discussed the problems of “Community Water Resources Management under Climate Change”. May 6 to May 8, researcher Liu Jing, Doctor Royboon Rassameethes, deputy director of Water Conservancy and Agriculture Information Institute of Thailand, and other seven researchers investigated the medium-sized irrigated area of Henhu dam, in Luliang, Qujing city, Yunnan province, they listened to local officials about the mechanism for the construction and reform of the relevant performance, study the local response to water shortages and drought and other extreme weather conditions to take the specific practices and successful experience.
   In addition, China and Thailand also discussed the future visit schedule, and both sides agreed to further strengthen researching cooperation in the future, and work together to deal with the challenges of drought, poverty, climate change and other areas.
